Welcome to the African American Achievement COUNCIL
On August 17, 1998 the Omaha Public Schools' Board of Education, in response to the clear and persistent achievement disparity in the standardized test score results of Black and Non-Black students in the school District of Omaha, entered into an unprecedented covenant for children of African heritage. It was on that day the Board of Education adopted the African American Achievement(AAA) plan. This is a Council of African Americans who have several important functions in the district that further the implementation of the AAA plan.
